Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based therapy that focuses on how our thoughts, emotions and behaviours impact one another and often feed into the maintenance of psychological problems, leaving us stuck in a vicious cycle. It uses practical strategies to challenge negative thinking patterns and behaviours that keep our symptoms active. In CBT your therapist will work with you to develop a treatment plan specific to your individual needs so that you get the best possible outcomes from therapy. Additionally, it will be time limited so that you know what you are working towards and what you can expect to achieve in a set number of sessions.
